I am a professional wood turner creating a wide variety of items from the mundane household piece to the weird and wonderful. Many are available in my main shop online, others by commission only. Examples of my work showing the variety etc can be seen in the gallery
Much of the wood I use is sustainably sourced, some grown locally and harvested by me, some, exotic or foreign wood is from recycled furniture or offcuts from cabinet makers that is sourced through contacts with the trade. Everything I produce is designed and handmade by me and whether done to order, or a stock piece, is made with an eye to design, quality and suitable finish. Finishes are generally wax polish or, if a piece that will be in contact with food a food safe oil.
